The CJ3+ is the workhorse of the light-jet category — fast enough to cut a five-hour drive to ninety minutes, and small enough to use regional airports the larger midsize aircraft can’t. It’s the aircraft most Ascent 25 members fly for the routine legs: a same-day round trip, a weekend at a second home, a client meeting two states away.
Single-pilot certified but almost always flown with two, the CJ3+ carries six to eight passengers in a flat-floor cabin with real stand-up headroom for anyone under six feet. At 416 knots true airspeed and a 2,040 nautical mile range, it comfortably covers city pairs like Teterboro–Palm Beach or Van Nuys–Aspen with fuel reserves to spare, without the premium of a midsize aircraft for a trip that doesn’t need one.
